Question: Will Barack Obama be successful as the next president of the United States?
Argument for "Yes"

Yes, and we will make the United States a better place together. Yes we can!
Question: Who should be president - John McCain or Barack Obama?
Argument for "Obama"

Another thing is how can you say that you are looking out for the people when you don't know the people. Palin says that the "real" americans are the small town people, but Obama has been in the lower and middle class, he knows our struggles.I can watch Mccain on tv and tell that he doesn't know anything about the lower classes. The people are America. America is made up of the rich, middle, and lower classes. So our president should be one who is going to ensure that America is fair and equal. I bet most people dont even know that Mccain has black relatives. He just chooses to omit that fact.

So many people want to say Obama doesn't have the experience but at least Obama is not taking money from a state to buy fancy suits, or fly his family around. At least Obama didn't desert his wife because he felt like she lost too much of her beauty.Mccain is another George Bush and wants the same things Bush wants. I think most people's problem, even if they don't want to admit it, is that they can't stand to see an man of color succeed. But the thing is Obama is not just African-American, he is half white. So if the reason people aren't voting for him is because of color, they are ignorant.
Question: Is the threat to western civilization from Radical Islam realistic?
Argument for "Yes"
   By Anonymous on 11/3/2008

There is nothing being taken out of proportion re: Islam. How can it be a religion of peace, when they cut ooff people's heads ON TV?? Why do people worship a man who was LAUGHED at by the clerics of his time?? A man who rejoiced in MURDER & RAPE & THIEVERY?? Anything done to non-believers was OK. Are people not paying attention??? Muslims are taking over in many parts of the world- rioting in the streets, cutting off heads, torching Christian churches (but they are a "religion of peace") all in the name of Mohammed. Allah & the Christian God are NOT the same. Paula in MS.
Question: Is the threat to western civilization from Radical Islam realistic?
Argument for "Yes"
   By Anonymous on 11/3/2008

The threat is real & something everyone needs t omake themselves INFORMED on. Read Glenn Beck- his book Inconvient Book, gives some info that is SCARY. The Muslims have a purpose. They have sworn to take over the US without firing a shot. They have an agenda. They come into neighborhoods & do not integrate on purpose. Then they push the government into letting their RADICAL laws be implemented under Religious Freedom. That's why women in England are being found with THEIR HEADS CUT OFF. Be careful; it's happening everywhere. Their religious laws are UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
Question: Is Fox News fair and balanced?
Argument for "Yes"
   By Anonymous on 11/3/2008

I have watched all the shows and I can tell you FOX has the best coverage. We really need info that is fair & balanced. People should seek knowledge for themselves also. Quit watching programs like those on MSNBC- they are the worst.

This country will see the beginning of its downfall if obama wins. This country is a democracy and not a socialist country.
Question: Do you believe in Catastrophic Man Made Global Warming to the full extent of the media and Al Gore?
Argument for "No"
   By Anonymous on 11/3/2008

People should not listen to anything Gore states. The earth has cooling & warming trends; it was happening before man & it will continue after we're gone. Ice core samples by SCIENTISTS prove this. Gore's book Inconvient... has been banned from schools in the UK by a brave man who fought against it & WON. Paula in MS.
Question: Obama says after 20 years he never knew his pastor had Anti-American Views. What do you think?
Argument for "Yes"
   By Anonymous on 11/3/2008

Are you kidding? Of course he knew. I can be at a speech/church or just at a store & understand that by assocation JUST MY PRESENCE can mean something. The only argument for him not knowing is he DID NOT LISTEN (is this a trait a president should have?). Not listening is one thing, but not listening in CHURCH (of all places)is terrible. Must have beem putting on a SHOW, since it looks better for an official to attend church. HATE IS TAUGHT & that church is DOING that. Since when is a man of God supoosed to bring racism & politics to the pulpit that GOD called him to do?????
Question: Is Sarah Palin an ideal candidate?
Argument for "Yes"
   By Anonymous on 11/3/2008

The idea that a woman can get to this level, just because she wanted to make things better (by joining the PTO), is truly the American ideal. It's proof that regular people can make a difference. We really need to get away from the regulars in Wash. & clean house- starting at the local level. She took on the Fed Gov & that means alot. The experience she has means ALOT. The newer the people we have in office, the better off we'll be. Now all we need is to vote. We need to concentrate on candidates that have a record of staying with the Constitution- it has served us well.
