Question: Should illegal immigrants be offered a path to legalization?
Argument for the "No" side
Illegal immigrants already have a clear path to legal immigration. Why do we need more laws to offer a 'carrot' to immigration when the laws we already have could be use and should be used. After all this is a Nation of immigrants.

The path to citizenship for people who entered illegally is overly long because they are penalized for entering illegally. There are people who came here as minors who are also penalized. For them its not just about going to the back of the line, but also not being able to get in line for the next X years. That creates a big incentive to just remain here illegally.
