What real experience does McCain have? During the war he spent all if in captivity. During the Naval Academy he spent most of his time in trouble. During flight school he spent most of it in trouble to the point that his inexperience caused the US millions of dollars in airplanes that he wrecked because he was to busy partying rather than studying and learning. In the Senate and for the last 26 years he's failed to do much for the average American. He's done much for corporate America.

So Now.... From the VP stand point; little to no experience, Palin, compared to 37 years of experience, Biden. Obama & Biden will get us out of debt; win back our respect with other countries; bring our troops home respectfully; NOT RAISE TAXES TO HELP THE FILTHY RICH. Not squander America's money (tax payers)on a never ending war. Should I go on or what? We need to wake up. We have a govn't that cares nothing about the average folks that carry America on their backs. The real tax payers.

OK, because it isn't the same as what someone else believes, then it's radical? What corruption scandals? It is McCain that now can claim "the teflon don" status. Remember Keating 5 -where the Judge said that he found him guilty of using bad judgement. McCain claims to know the average person "my friend" and yet he has no sympathy for the average American going through the mortgage crisis, why? Because he is an elitist who owns not 1 but 10 homes in the US worth more than $1 million dollars.

Obama doesn't have a radical stance on abortion. He trusts women and their doctors to make the right decision. He doesn't think the government should try to legistate morality. His focus is on preventing unwanted pregnancy. I am in Illinois and can assure you he is not involved in any corruption scandals here. You are being manipulated by social issues to prevent you from voting your own best interest. Don't be fooled. If you voted for Bush please take personal repsonsiblity. Not the most skillful candidate, not the most impressive speaker, just an honest, smart, determined, sincere and productive Senator for many years. Senator McCain has given his life for his country.(You don't have to die to give your life for your country!) He is just a dependable, mature veteran of combat and of service. one politician who can't be bought. He is compassionate but tough. I will be proud and thrilled to vote for him to become our strong, sensible President.

Smart and determined, maybe. Coniving, liar, mostly. Sincere, I doubt he knows the meaning. As for giving his life for his country- the guy isn't dead. Old yes, but not dead yet. John McCain hasn't given anything without getting something in return, remember 150+ lobbyists- 10 Personal Residences in the US (all worth over $1 million a piece). He is not a veteran of combat, his lack of skill from lack of training because he was always partying landed him in prison through out the Vietnam War and so he has no experience there. He's been bought and sold so much his expiration date is open ended.

When George Bush, Sr. was president, McCain didn't want us in Somalia, but in the end he went with the status quo. After Bill Clinton won, John McCain spoke on the senate floor and said "we should not keep our men and women in harms way. We should not stay in Somalia because we fear that choas will break out if we leave. The United Nations has forces to take up the responsibilty." Fear of chaos should never be a reason to stay in a country and endanger our troops. And then lead an unsuccessful bill to cut funding to our troops there. He wasn't being pragmatic, he was being political.

I think there are several very good reasons to not vote for Obama. First, he makes a statement about what he believes, and then he proposes solutions that are diametrically opposed to his "belief". Witness the statements on his own website about the economy. Further, America is a nation at war. Whether we should be there or not is a whole separate discussion, but the fact is we are. Obama is not qualified to lead the nation's military, nor does he have much in the way of foreign policy experience.

Being prior service doesn't make you more qualified to be a good leader. And anyway, John McCain barely qualifies. He graduated at the bottom of his class, his Military ties were the only thing that kept him from being kicked out. Fligth school he continued with the same and because he did so poorly, he crashed several planes costing the US $millions of dollars and then he spent Vietnam in captivity. So, how much experience did he get there. None. Just a bunch of anger that he hasn't gotten a grips with.

McCain can't remember which team he gave as his unit members while he was captive. Then he couldn't come up with a religous story of his own so he plagerized "the Sign of the Cross" from a dead author and faked a tear to get sympathy at the Faith Forum. Then he gets on an oil rig and flat out lies about Barack Obamas stance on oil drilling. Why? Because Obama has an energy plan and he just has continued punching and jabing.

For too long the moral slide had been hidden behind such fallacies as "separation of church and state". Simple decency and morality is going the way of courtesy and civility. If you disagree with me just look at the tenor of the political race this year. The writers of the constitution never intended this sort of fiasco.

We really don't know what or who Obama stands for other than himself. He has yet to actually work for a living, so does expect to represent the working class. Even in the Senate he has yet to register a vote for or against anything - he either votes "present", which can only mean that he really doesn't understand the issue, or he doesn't bother to show up at all. I think that McCain is ready and willing to serve his country; Obama is ready to serve himself at the country's expense. Secondly, aren't you tired yet of being at war? A war that was unprovoked. We were attacked on 9/11 by 19 Saudi Arabians, and we attack Iraq? Do you think the fact that the Bush family shares ownership of an oil cartel with the Saudi royal family had something to do with that, or do you still think there were really WMD's? If you write down the pros and cons of each candidate, who is raising taxes, creating more government give aways, sending more of our hard earned money over seas, socializing our health care (look at Oregon. A woman was refused a prescription drug because rationing has already begun there. Luckily the drug company gave it to her free). I'm going with the best of the two and that's McCain. Anyone who supported the Iraq war should not be elected president. These folks are too quick to risk the lives of our military heros without proper planning, sufficient force, or equipment. Obama a Junior Senator (3 Years). Sarah Palin has more years of experience running a government than Obama and people are concerned that Palin is not ready to be president. Senator Mc Cain is a war hero and has served his country most of his life. Mc Cain also went across the aisle to co-sponsor bills with Kennedy, Feingold and Lieberman.
