Yes, Obama knew what was going on in his church. He conveniently lied about it. It suited his purposes o go to that church to establish his Black Credentials and he kept quiet to get what he wanted; he'll do America in anyday for expedience sake, h cannot be trusted.

First why is Mr Obama being attack for someone else's opinion. Come on America we are not blind to the facts that they obviously can't find any dirt nor lies from Mr Obama so they are digging deep. It's a shame that Clinton and her supporters seem to think that this man can honestly control one's views. As I see it there's been things throughout our years that has done more harm to this nation and no one seem to care about.Things concerning not only our troops but the death of so many. People across this country can make a senseless fuss about what came out of someone elses mouth.Get real!!

What does it take for people to think? The man has been going to this church for 20 years and never knew his pastor? I am so sorry. He lies. If not, he must have been sleeping through the sermons. It is not possible that these few cited sermons are the only ones that had the opinions of his pastor in them!!!This is just crazy! It usually wouldn't matter to me what religion or church a candidate went to, but this is just too much. Did Obama truly think that his previous actions and associations (esp those that continue) would not be noted?

Of course he knew being the educated, intelligent person he is. To think he didn't know is the ultimate insult to the intelligence of the American people. BTW, if his views are anything like his wife's, it's no wonder they sat under this preacher for as long as they did and the only reason they quit is because it became public knowledge what the church stood for. There's no way one can listen to someone for 20 years and claim they don't know what the person stands for, not to mention not have it become a part of one's own thinking.

He knew and his story changed from day to day as how much. He only stated that the ones played on the TV he did not hear. Everyone knew that was a church that spoke of this Black Theology. Instead of him trying to help people realize they don't need to keep preaching the past mistakes he chose to listen. This kind of hatred spewed in Churches only keeps Racial Divide and resentment going. I believe not as many people believe we are so different as Obama wants us to believe. He just blames everyone else and tries to guilt us into believing him. I don't find him credible and actually find him qu

Not only did he know, but I would bet he participated. The kind of hatred the United States faces from all over the world does not belong in our political arena anywhere. Americans need to take back their country and forget the troubles abroad except to monitor and deter any aggression against America. We have more than enough bombs to go around if we are ever attacked again! Obama should not be president for many reasons none of which are his skin color. Wake up and smell the propaganda that has been guiding civil rights since the 1960s. Obama bought into that message.

The hatred in Wright's words from the pulpit couldn't be contained to just a sunday sermon. Obama first lied then admitted his lie in his race speech wherein he defended Rev. Wright. Apparently, without objection, he subjected himself and family to Black Liberation Theology teachings which I believe left a residue of those teachings in Obama (read his books) and in Michelle (no pride in America). I am at a total loss at the excuses made for Obama by white and black americans and the lack of accountability for Obama's judgment to maintain this relationship. Hate breeds hate.

Yes, but that does not make him agree with all that his Pastor says. As Sen. Obama stated in his speech, there is more to Rev. Wright than those snippets being played on the air. And who are we to condemn anyone?

The problem is, that there is much more to Rev. Wright than what we have seen. Way too much more. And condemning is not what we are doing, just looking at the fact that a candidate for President of our country associates with people who don't hide their disdain for it. You are who you associate with.

Of course he knew. And the views are not only anti-American, they are also anti-Israel, anti-Jewish, and anti-common decency. It is no secret that Obama has already appointed people to advise him that are also anti-Israel, anti-Jewish, and anti-American. Is Obama the anti-Christ? Maybe, maybe not. But he certainly cannot be trusted and should be feared. I would vote for Mickey Mouse before I would vote for Obama. This country is headed in the wrong direction; why continue that downward spiral by electing Obama. Yecchhh, I may have to find another country to call home.

How could a person, one who had been attending that church for over 20 years, not know of the radical, racist views of this pastor. How could he not know that Wright hates whites, even though when you view the pictures or the video of Wright, in action, he is more white, than black. How can he not have known of Wright's strong leanings toward the Palestinians, and Islam? He would have to be deft, dumb and blind not to have known it. Or was he conveniently informed, before hand, not to attend services on such and such a day, to prevent his ears from hearing something that he should not hear.

Must have beem putting on a SHOW, since it looks better for an official to attend church. HATE IS TAUGHT & that church is DOING that. If you rewind the video tape, Obama never said that he didnt know his Pastor's views. He said that he was never present during the sermons looped into that 30 sec soundbite. And if you go on youtube and actually view the whole sermons, especially the 9/11 sermon, you may find it more inspiring instead of finding it offensive. The media (foxnews) keeps showing this clip rather than showing the whole thing in detail. I'm sure if they did, there would be no news for them to report.

I certainly think he heard some controversial sermons from his Pastor. That does not mean that he heard the sermon OR the type of sermon he denounced. I don't agree with all of my Pastor's views but I love my church family. We work together in ministry and do good things in the community all of which were taught to us by our Pastor. I'm sure Obama is smart enough to decipher the good from the bad within his Pastor. I'm certain that we all have long time friends and/or family memeber that have said some off the wall things from time to time. Do we walk away from them or do we stay and love?

That's an excellent point. In fact, in this country - America which is still(so far) governed by the Constitution, it is the height of patriotism to speak out against the abuses of elected criminals. Only in a monarchy, dictatorship or other totalitarian state is it patriotic to just shut up and accept whatever Dear Leader says. Obviously, Bush/McCain supporters want to abandon the COnstitution and live under King George and King John.

Part of the problem in our Democracy is that lies like this are so easily spread due to people latching on to something they want to believe. Obama never said this, ever. What he said, is that he's never heard the pastor say the things that are circulating on You Tube. And furthermore, these supposed "Anti-American views" are a fabrication as well. What Obama opponents want you to hear is "God Damn America". What Wright SAID, is "God Damn America for killing all those people in Iraq". We'd be a better country if more spiritual leaders echoed his sentiment.

This isn't weak or grabbing straws. Church is a place where you can be with others who share your beliefs. They made the decision to sit under this preacher as intelligent, educated people, knowing full well what he stood for and having the same views and beliefs themselves. Barrack Obama is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Wake up America before it's too late.

Why are these people trying to make something out of nothing? Especially when it doesn't have anything to do with Obama because now he's being held for others thoughts and opinions. They can't find fault in him so they have to reach out to anyone that knows him and place him in the mix some kind of way. We truly can't be that naive. First, Obama never said he didn't know about his Pastor's radical "Anti American" views, he said he never supported or believe in them. Now, isn't it possible that your pastor or Imam (or your religious leader is called) actually have political views that you do not share. I am a christian and I try to go to church at least once amonth and I can mention views I have heard in church (political and otherwise) that I do not subscribe to. I really do believe its grossly unfair to guage Obama's ability, readiness or orientation as an American leader based on the view of his pastor.
