Did the NY Times damage its own credibility by suggesting McCain had an improper relationship with a lobbyist?
The NY Times posted an article suggesting McCain had an improper relationship with a lobbyist, but there is very little evidence to back up their claims. Did the NY Times damage its own reputation, by providing more evidence of its liberal bias?

If you read the article itself, it does not have any real evidence of improper behavior. It only states that some aids were concerned about improper behavior. So why was it posted on the front page of the NY Times? It seems like the NY Times has it out for John McCain.

The New York Times has been going down since they gave credibility to the impeachment of Bill Clinton over an issue that was not anyones business except his wife's. If you want to be respected as an intelligent paper, stop doing the tabloid gossip.

McCain has proven himself to be sneaky and has a volatile temper. He has gone on the attack on Obama and when the attack is on him he calls foul. The NY Times is not wrong and have not damaged its credibility by reporting the truth.

It only gets a bad rap among the GOPers who hated it anyway as "liberal media". The rest of us got past the first 2 paragraphs and realized it wasn't about sex, but about a lifetime of improper relationships with lobbyists. Republicans spend so much time saying abstinence that they repress their own urges and start focusing and finding sex everywhere they look. Anything to detract from the real impropriety... the buying and selling of McCain as a lobbyist runs his Senate Office and they run his campaign. "McCain: 25 years of selling himself"
