Question: Who should be president - John McCain or Barack Obama?
Argument for "McCain"
   By Anonymous on 7/15/2008

John McCain may not be the most decisive presidential candidate, in getting his point across and may not be completely aware of every aspect of what is happening in regards to social, political, and economical issues, but so are the other candidates. Look at McCain on the where he stands on the issues and his plan thus far and then Obama when you scrutinize how they plan to change the country and you'll see who is the better candidate. Also when you choose the next president you will choose what type of path we take as a nation and the system that it will run off of. McCain 08

NO WAY..WHY? This isn't the movies. This is real life..No on the job training for this post.. The main things that concern me..Like the old song says (He's a little bit country and a little bit rock in roll) Obama is a little bit Martin Luther King(30%) and a Little Bit Malcolm X (70%)..

Argument for "Yes"

As I approach my 79th birthday, I am thrilled by the response to Senator Obama and will do everything in my power to see him elected as President. My reasoning is not something you will read in political blogs - nor on these pages. It is that - since JFK, we have had nothing more than political idealogues as President. They have done nothing to build on the spirit that encompassed our people in the days following the end of WWII. Their intent was not to "spread democracy" but to maintain their power base and get re-elected.
Question: Will Barack Obama's flip flops toward the center help him in the 2008 elections, or hurt him?

He's reaching out to moderates and independent voters. He's not as much of a liberal radical as Fox News would like you to believe.

Not the most skillful candidate, not the most impressive speaker, just an honest, smart, determined, sincere and productive Senator for many years. Senator McCain has given his life for his country.(You don't have to die to give your life for your country!) He is just a dependable, mature veteran of combat and of service. one politician who can't be bought. He is compassionate but tough. I will be proud and thrilled to vote for him to become our strong, sensible President.

HE IS A VERY INTELLIGENT PERSON ITS A YOUNG PERSON WITH GOOD LOOK AT THE FUTURE AND THE CHANGES THAT THE NATION DESPERATE NEEDS, MC CAIN IS A CONTINUATION OF A BAD PRESIDENT THAT THE NATION HAS. MC CAIN MEANS 4 MORE YEARS OF BUSH, NO MATTER IF HE TRY TO DISTANCE HIMSELF FROM BUSH.
Question: Barrock Obama is the most radical candidate in American History. He is a Marxist Liberation Theology follower. Goes to a racist church. Would sit down with dictators that would chew us up alive.
Argument for "No"

What does sitting down with dictators have to do with being "radical"? I thought radical was about more vs less government, or perhaps using government to attack social inequities. And how do you have a Marxist church? That doesn't even make any sense...
